Nollywood actress and movie producer, Toyin Abraham is highly elated as her newly released movie, Ijakumo grosses N31M.
Since it’s release on December 23rd, Ijakumo has been topping charts and receiving positive reviews from movie lovers and even critics.
In just three days of it release, Ijakumo has grossed 31million as well as become the biggest drama of 2022 and 2nd biggest indigenous language.
An elated Toyin took to Instagram to express her gratitude over the good news.
She wrote,
“Thank you thank you thank you thank you for a rated movie. 3 days. You people are all amazing. Thanks a lot and this means a lot to me. Oya today is another day to see. #ijakumo and pls tell other that IJAKUMO is showing in all cinemas in Nigeria”.
Funke Akindele jubilates as ‘Buka on street’ makes N135million in one day
This is coming hours after movie producer and politician Funke Akindele had rejoiced over newly released movie, Buka on streets topping the charts and has grossing over N135 million in one day.
Announcing the feat on her Instagram page moments ago, Funke Akindele appreciated her fans for coming through for her and storming the different cinema houses to see Battle on Buka street.
“Buka on Battle street hits N135 million, the biggest single day for a Nollywood film in 2022 – 26m on 25/12/2022. Thank you, everyone!!! Work hard! Pray hard! Stay positive!!! Iyanu ma sele!!”
Tunde Kelani brings Toyin Abraham to tears
Recall that Kemi Filani reported that Veteran filmmaker, Tunde Kelani had brought Toyin Abraham to tears with his review of her new movie, Ijakumo.
The actress premiered her much talked about movie on Sunday, December 18th, which attracted top celebrities.
The filmmaker who was one of the attendees a the premiere, took to his Instagram page to review the movie.
Kelani crowned it as the best Christmas and New Year present, above Funke Akindele’s new movie, Battle on Buka Streets.
“Toyin Abraham has assembled a formidable creative team to give film lovers the best Christmas and New Year present with her latest and best movie, IJAKUMO.
The premiere last night was a carnival and we all had a nice time. The film is wonderful and highly recommended. IJAKUMO opens in cinemas on December 23, 2022″.
